Overview
University admission processes for the 2026-2027 academic cycle have commenced in Jordan and Egypt. In Jordan, the Unified Admission Coordination Unit updated its systems to manage enrollment for bachelor’s degrees and intermediate diplomas across various government and community colleges.
As the process progressed, the Jordanian Unified Admission Coordination Unit reported that over 58,000 applications had been submitted. The unit announced that approximately 41,844 students are expected to be accepted into bachelor’s programs, with 10,173 seats allocated for intermediate diplomas. To maintain academic quality, the Higher Education Council limited medical student intake to 640 and dentistry to 320, continuing a four-year reduction plan.
Furthermore, Jordan introduced new software to accommodate a dual-track high school system and opened applications for the Royal Beneficiary Program, which supports students from 537 eligible Badia schools and those in special circumstances.
