Australian universities launch online graduate programs in acute nursing and biostatistics
The University of Adelaide is offering a Graduate Certificate in Nursing specialising in Acute Nursing. Designed for registered nurses working in medical, surgical and high‑acuity settings, the part‑time online program emphasizes ethics, leadership, cultural competence and evidence‑based practice to prepare graduates for senior roles in acute care.
In partnership with the Biostatistics Collaboration of Australia, an online Graduate Diploma in Biostatistics is also available. The diploma provides health professionals with training in statistical theory, epidemiology, data management and advanced modelling techniques, enabling them to contribute to public‑health research, pharmaceutical development and policy‑making.
Both programmes target working professionals, offering flexible study options to support nurses and analysts in rural or remote areas while aiming to improve patient outcomes and health‑sector decision‑making.
