University of Aden hosts history student graduation project discussions
The Faculty of Arts at the University of Aden held discussions for graduation projects by students in the Department of History. The academic activity aimed to evaluate students' scientific and research achievements and enhance their ability to prepare historical research using approved scientific methodologies.
A specialized academic committee evaluated three research papers covering diverse historical topics:
• Islamic History: A study on the emergence and development of administrative offices (Diwans) from the era of Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab through the second Islamic era. • Ancient History: A research project regarding the kings who ruled the Kingdom of Saba. • Modern and Contemporary History: An examination of Saad Zaghloul’s role in the development of the national movement between 1914 and 1927.
The department emphasized that these discussions are vital for developing students' research and analytical skills, preparing qualified academic cadres for postgraduate studies and scientific research.
