University of Aden launches heritage research training for graduate students

The Faculty of Education at the University of Aden inaugurated a specialised training programme for graduate students titled “Methods of Investigating Heritage Books”. The course, running from 5 to 13 August 2026, was organised by the Department of Islamic Studies under the patronage of university president Dr Al‑Khader Nasser Lasour and dean Dr Fahmi Hassan Ahmed Yusuf. It was delivered by Dr Walid Saeed Mohamed Ahmed, who taught participants scholarly methods for handling manuscripts and preserving Islamic intellectual heritage.

The opening ceremony was attended by vice deans Dr Al‑Khader Abdullah and Dr Salem Al‑Shaklia, heads of the Islamic Studies and Computer Science departments, and a number of graduate students. Organisers highlighted the programme’s role in strengthening research capabilities, improving academic output, and safeguarding the region’s cultural legacy.
