University of Aden's College of Social Sciences Begins Strategic Plan Development

The College of Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Aden announced the start of work on its strategic plan for 2026‑2030. A joint meeting chaired by Dean Dr. Waddah Ahmed Saleh Mansur brought together the curriculum committee, the quality unit, the strategic‑plan committee, deputy deans, department heads and other members. The discussion focused on aligning the college’s priorities with the university’s overall strategy under President Dr. Al‑Khader Nasser Al‑Sour, updating curricula, enhancing remote e‑learning, and meeting accreditation standards.

Key actions approved include a two‑day workshop in early September to review the college’s mission, goals and values with representatives of other colleges, students, employers and the community, as well as the formation of academic and technical committees to implement the meeting’s outcomes. The college also aims to coordinate program descriptions with peer faculties to secure academic accreditation in line with Ministry of Higher Education guidelines.
