Delhi University releases second round of UG seat allocations for 2026
The University of Delhi (DU) published its second round of undergraduate seat allocations under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) on 25 July 2026. A total of 24,814 candidates received fresh seats, while 30,682 students were upgraded to higher‑preference colleges or programmes. The round involved 88,584 candidates, of whom 15,265 had frozen their seats after the first round.
Allottees must accept their seats by 26 July 2026 23:59 IST and pay the admission fee by 28 July 2026 23:59 IST. The university also opened a Spot Round portal for two‑year postgraduate programmes, open until 26 July 2026 16:59 IST. The new academic session is scheduled to begin on 28 July 2026. Earlier, the first round had confirmed admissions for 63,756 candidates, with over 81,900 accepting seats and 61,932 completing fee payment. The allocations were made from more than 2.08 million applicants who completed Phase II of the CSAS process.
