University of Dubrovnik hosts Sustainability Festival

The Sustainability Festival, hosted by the University of Dubrovnik from September 16 to 18, brought together science and art through a collaborative effort involving the University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer in Osijek, the University of Split, and University North.

The event featured exhibitions, lectures, and interactive workshops designed to showcase academic contributions to sustainable development goals. Key highlights included presentations on the sustainability of Glagolitic heritage and the launch of the novel ‘Alikvot’ by Prof. Dr. Sc. Jasna Horvat, which connects literature, mathematics, and economics.

Public engagement included workshops on natural cosmetics, seed bombs, and sustainable fishing, led by experts from various academic departments across the participating universities.
