University of Indonesia alumni group launches scholarship for children of online drivers

The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Indonesia (ILUNI FEB UI) has opened applications for a scholarship program specifically targeting active undergraduate students who are children of online motorcycle taxi (ojek) drivers or online couriers.

Developed in collaboration with the University of Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM UI), the initiative aims to provide financial assistance and moral support to help students continue their higher education despite economic challenges.

To qualify, applicants must be active S1 students at the University of Indonesia. Required documentation includes screenshots of the parent's online driver partner application or an official employment letter from a courier company, a written chronology of the family's economic situation with supporting evidence, and a short essay explaining their motivation for applying. The application deadline is set for October 15, 2026.
