University of Kara integrates anti-corruption training into curricula

The University of Kara in Togo has launched an initiative to integrate anti-corruption and integrity education into its academic curricula. On October 16, 2026, teacher-researchers participated in a training session organized by the High Authority for the Prevention and Fight against Corruption and Related Offenses (HAPLUCIA) at the university's north campus.

The program aims to equip educators with pedagogical tools, including manuals for undergraduate and master's students, case studies, and practical exercises. This training allows professors to incorporate themes such as ethics, professional conduct, good governance, and transparency directly into their courses.

According to HAPLUCIA President Kimelabalou Aba, the project facilitates the effective introduction of anti-corruption teaching units starting with the 2026-2027 academic year. The initiative is part of a broader national effort to foster values of responsibility and accountability among students to prepare them for their future professional and civic lives.
