University of Padua wins Pediatric Simulation Games in Latina
The eighth edition of the Pediatric Simulation Games has concluded in Latina, Italy. The University of Padua emerged as the winner of this international competition focused on pediatric emergency management.
Organized by Professor Riccardo Lubrano of La Sapienza University and head of Pediatrics at Santa Maria Goretti Hospital, the event hosted over 40 teams from Italian universities as well as institutions from France, Portugal, Spain, and Hungary. Participants competed across more than 30 complex emergency scenarios, including cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, septic shock, traumatic brain injury, and rare diseases in emergency settings.
Professor Lubrano expressed satisfaction with the technical level of the teams and the increasing complexity of the clinical scenarios and training courses provided, such as non-invasive echodynamic monitoring and hemography.
