University of Salerno to host European Researchers' Night

The University of Salerno will host the European Researchers' Night on Sunday, October 11, at the Villa Comunale in Salerno. Originally postponed due to bad weather, the event is scheduled to run from 18:30 to 23:00.

Part of the S.T.R.E.E.T.S. (Science, Technology and Research for Ethical Engagement Translated in Society) project, the initiative is funded by the European Union's Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions. The program features interactive workshops and live science shows led by researchers and professors.

Activities include demonstrations on redox reactions, natural pigment chemistry, DNA observation, and chlorophyll extraction. Later sessions will cover topics such as drug delivery microcapsules, water hardness, and the impact of carbon dioxide. The event aims to bridge the gap between academia and the general public through experiential learning for all ages.
