University of Siena opens applications for surveying degree

The University of Siena has opened applications for its three-year professional degree program in “Technologies for the Environment, Construction, and the Territory” (TACT) for the 2026/2027 academic year. The program offers 25 available spots, which will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis via online application by August 24, 2026.

Developed in collaboration with the Provincial College of Surveyors and Graduate Surveyors of Siena, the course aims to train professionals in civil and rural infrastructure, environmental monitoring, and territory management. Graduates will obtain qualification to practice as a surveyor. The curriculum emphasizes the transition from traditional methods to digital technologies, including GIS, Remote Sensing, Laser Scanning, and BIM.

Instruction will primarily take place in person at the GeoTechnologies Center in San Giovanni Valdarno, with laboratory activities held exclusively on-site. Some theoretical lessons may be attended via synchronous distance learning from Grosseto or through online platforms.
