University of Siena TACT degree enrollment
Overview
The University of Siena has opened enrollment for its three-year professional degree program in Technologies for the Environment, Construction, and Territory (TACT) for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The program offers 25 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis via online application until August 24, 2026. Developed in collaboration with the Provincial College of Surveyors and Graduate Surveyors of Siena, the curriculum is designed to train experts in civil and rural infrastructure, territorial monitoring, and environmental management. Graduates receive a degree and the professional qualification of ‘geometra laureato’ or surveyor.
Instructional activities are primarily held in person at the GeoTechnologies Center in San Giovanni Valdarno, with laboratory work conducted exclusively on-site. Some theoretical lessons may be provided via synchronous distance learning from Grosseto or through online platforms. The course emphasizes a transition from traditional methods to digital systems using geomatics technologies, such as GIS, Remote Sensing, Laser Scanning, and BIM.
