University of Siena opens enrollment for TACT degree program

The University of Siena has opened enrollment for its three-year professional degree program in Technologies for the Environment, Construction, and Territory (TACT). There are 25 available spots, and admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis via online application until August 24, 2026.

Instructional activities will primarily take place in person at the GeoTechnologies Center in San Giovanni Valdarno, with some theoretical lessons available via synchronous distance learning from Grosseto. Laboratory work is conducted exclusively in person in San Giovanni Valdarno.

The program is designed to train experts in civil and rural infrastructure, territorial monitoring, and environmental management. Upon completion, graduates receive both a degree and the professional qualification of 'geometra laureato'. The curriculum emphasizes the transition from traditional design and monitoring to digital systems using geomatics technologies such as GIS, Remote Sensing, Laser Scanning, and BIM.
