University of Tartu to host Researchers' Night science festival
The University of Tartu will participate in the national Researchers' Night festival from September 21 to 27. As part of the event, the university will open its various buildings and laboratories to the public on September 25.
Visitors can engage in several science-themed activities, including building robots and rockets, participating in escape rooms, and observing the starry sky through a large telescope. The university aims to spark interest in science among young people by providing hands-on experiences in locations that are typically closed to the general public.
Scheduled activities across various university sites include workshops, excursions, and short lectures. Specific locations involved include the Delta Centre, Physicum, Biomeedikum, Omicum, Chemicum, the observatory, the technology institute, the natural history museum, the tower, and the botanical garden. Many events are free of charge, though some may require prior registration due to limited capacity.
