University of Western Australia opens first India campus in Mumbai

The University of Western Australia (UWA) has officially launched its first Indian campus in Mumbai. The inauguration ceremony was led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Western Australia Premier Roger Cook.

UWA has committed approximately AUD 80 million to establish and operate its wholly-owned campuses in India. The Mumbai facility, located in Andheri East, features modern classrooms, innovation spaces, and collaboration hubs designed to facilitate industry engagement, internships, and research connections between India and Western Australia.

The Mumbai campus is the first of two planned UWA facilities in the country, with a second center scheduled to open in Chennai next month.
