University of Zenica celebrates 26th anniversary and graduates

The University of Zenica (UNZE) marked its 26th anniversary with several ceremonies celebrating academic achievements and international cooperation. During a formal academy held at the Bosnian National Theatre, the university promoted 11 new doctors of science.

In a separate ceremony at the Husejin Smajlović City Arena, the university promoted 362 graduates and 56 master's degree holders from its eight faculties. Rector Jusuf Duraković emphasized the university's mission to provide competencies that allow youth to develop their local communities and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The anniversary celebrations also included the ‘Europe Days’ initiative, which brought together nine rectors from European universities to strengthen academic partnerships. The event featured contributions from international partners, including Professor Viktoria Weber from the University of Krems in Austria, representing the EU ACE.
