Unrelated incidents reported in Serbia and Croatia

In Serbia, a 77-year-old woman died in the Stojnik settlement near Sopot after being attacked by a swarm of hornets in her yard. Emergency medical services from the Sopot Health Center attempted resuscitation, but the woman, identified by the initials M. A., could not be saved. She had reportedly been stung multiple times in the head area. An autopsy has been ordered to determine whether the cause of death was a severe allergic reaction, the cumulative effect of the stings, or other health factors.

In Croatia, police arrested a 55-year-old man in Dalmatia suspected of domestic violence, physical injury, threats, and unlawful deprivation of liberty. Authorities allege the man beat a woman, threatened to kill her while holding an axe, and repeatedly locked her in an apartment against her will. The victim sustained minor injuries, and the suspect was handed over to a detention supervisor following a criminal investigation.
