UNTOLD 2026 Festival Draws Massive Crowds to Cluj‑Napoca

The UNTOLD music festival returns for its 11th edition in Cluj‑Napoca from 6 – 9 August 2026. Organisers expect around 150 000 attendees each day and have booked more than 200 artists to perform on nine stages, including the new Main Stage – the largest ever built for the event, measuring 127 m in width, 38 m in height, with 1 250 m² of LED screens and over 1 070 smart lights.

Sting headlines the opening night, and his team requested a private kitchen and personal chef in the backstage area. Other headliners include The Chainsmokers, Zara Larsson, James Hype, Smiley and many more. The festival operates a cashless payment system: attendees load funds onto a wristband online or at on‑site Credit Points and can claim refunds for any unused balance after the event.

Public transport has been expanded for the weekend, with CTP Cluj extending night‑bus services on dozens of lines and adding extra night routes for the metropolitan area. Security is bolstered by thousands of police, gendarmerie, emergency services and private security personnel to ensure safety throughout the four‑day event.

The influx of visitors has driven accommodation prices sharply higher. The cheapest rooms start at about 500 lei per night, while premium apartments and hotels can cost up to 5 000 lei per night. Trendyol partners with the festival, showcasing capsule fashion collections from artists such as Gina, Smiley and Theo Rose, and Steve Aoki maintains his tradition of a ping‑pong table in the backstage area.
