UP T20 League season 4 kicks off Aug 14, finals set for Sep 6 in Kanpur

The fourth season of the Uttar Pradesh T20 League will begin on 14 August 2026 with the opening match between Kashi Rudras and defending champions Meerut Mavericks at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The tournament will run for 24 days, featuring 22 matches in Lucknow over 13 matchdays before moving to Green Park Stadium in Kanpur for the remaining 12 matches, the knockout stage and the final on 6 September.

Sanjay Kapoor, chairman of the league’s governing council, said: “The UP T20 League continues to grow with every season, and this year marks a major milestone as the tournament will be played across two venues for the very first time…”. The schedule also lists weekend fixtures such as Noida Kings vs Kanpur Superstars and Lucknow Falcons vs Gaur Gorakhpur Lions. The playoffs, including Qualifier 1, the Eliminator (3 Sept) and Qualifier 2 (4 Sept), will all be held in Kanpur.

The league aims to provide a platform for young talent to showcase their skills alongside experienced players, with organizers hoping to attract enthusiastic fans across the two host cities.
