UPPSC PCS-2026 vacancies increase to 728 positions

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has increased the number of vacancies for the PCS-2026 recruitment from the initially announced 500 to 728. This increase follows requests for additional positions from various government departments.

The Secondary Education Department currently holds the highest number of new vacancies, including 158 principal positions and 41 roles for Deputy District Inspector of Schools and other equivalent posts. The Basic Education Department has added 122 positions for senior lecturers, alongside 74 Child Development Project Officer roles and 58 Assistant District Employment Assistance Officer roles. Other notable additions include 33 Deputy Collector positions and various roles within the Urban Development, Agriculture, and Finance departments.

The total number of vacancies is not expected to be final. The commission may include additional positions reported by departments before the preliminary examination results are released.
