UPSC Announces 400+ Government Job Vacancies and Publishes 2026 Civil Services Prelims Results

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has launched its Direct Recruitment Scheme for 2026, advertising more than 400 vacancies across 98 distinct posts in central ministries, departments and Union Territory administrations. Applications opened on 13 June and close on 3 July 2026 at 6 PM via the online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal. Major vacancies include 121 Specialist Grade‑III posts in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, 50 Assistant Director posts in the Ministry of MSME, 40 Assistant Professor roles at the College of Military Engineering, and technical positions in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Additional openings span the ministries of Agriculture, Defence, Environment, Finance, Home Affairs, AYUSH, Mining and others, as well as posts in Ladakh and the Andaman & Nicobar territories.

Separately, UPSC released the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 results on 15 June. Qualified candidates can download the official PDF to verify their roll numbers and will advance to the Main Examination stage. The announcement underscores the continuing high demand for civil service positions and marks a key milestone for thousands of aspirants.
