UPSC announces 480 vacancies for Engineering Services Examination 2027

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2027. The recruitment drive aims to fill approximately 480 vacancies across various Central Government departments in India.

Available positions span several engineering disciplines, including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. The application process commenced on September 16, 2026, and will remain open until October 6, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

Eligible candidates must hold a relevant engineering degree or diploma and fall within the age range of 21 to 30 years as of January 1, 2027. The selection process includes a preliminary examination scheduled for January 31, 2027, followed by a main examination on June 18, 2027, personality tests, and medical examinations.

Application fees are set at ₹200 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while female candidates and those from SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempt from payment.
