UPSC Announces Recruitment for 828 Principal and Vice‑Principal Posts in Delhi

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) issued a short notice (Special Advertisement No. 51/2026) on 21 July 2026 to fill 828 vacancies in the Education Department of the Government of NCT of Delhi. The posts comprise 124 Principal and 704 Vice‑Principal positions. Online applications are accepted from 25 July to 14 August 2026 via the UPSC Online Recruitment Application portal.

Applicants must meet age criteria (Principal 35‑50 years, relaxable to 55 for SC/ST and 53 for OBC; Vice‑Principal 35‑40 years, relaxable to 40 for SC/ST and 38 for OBC) and other eligibility requirements. The application fee is ₹25 for male general/OBC/EWS candidates and nil for female, SC/ST, and PWD candidates.
