UPSC Civil Services Mains 2026 examination underway with strict security

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting the 2026 Civil Services (Main) Examination. On August 22, candidates attended sessions scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Strict security protocols and monitoring are in place at examination centres across various cities, including Delhi, Lucknow, and Jaipur. Police personnel have been deployed to manage crowds and ensure thorough verification of candidates entering the venues.

The afternoon session on August 22 included General Studies Paper II, which carries 250 marks and covers topics such as Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice, and International Relations. The examination is scheduled to take place over five days: August 21, 22, 23, 29, and 30.
