UPSC examination updates for CDS and Mains 2026

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released admit cards for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (II) 2026, which is scheduled for 13 September 2026. Candidates are advised to prepare checklists regarding dress codes and examination center logistics to ensure readiness.

In relation to the UPSC Mains 2026, analyses have been conducted to compare examination questions with previous practice materials. These comparisons, referred to as the ‘hit ratio’, evaluate the alignment between preparatory content and the actual questions asked in the Essay and General Studies (GS) Papers 1 through 4, covering topics such as history, polity, economy, and ethics.
