UQTR announces strategic planning and cultural initiatives

The Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) is launching several initiatives to support its strategic development and regional cultural engagement.

Starting in autumn 2026, the university will begin developing its 2027-2032 Strategic Plan. This process will involve three consultation phases—diagnosis, strategy framing, and plan formulation—running through April 2027. The rector is scheduled to officially announce the process on September 17, with online information sessions following on September 23 and 24, 2026, to allow the university community to contribute to the institution's future direction.

Additionally, UQTR is renewing its commitment to regional culture by offering the 'Carnet culture 2026-2027' to its student body for free for the second consecutive year. Developed in collaboration with Culture Mauricie, Culture Centre-du-Québec, and Culture Lanaudière, the initiative provides a directory of 46 cultural organizations offering benefits or free access to students. This program aims to foster active cultural participation and connect university youth with local cultural entities.
