UQTR institutional and community initiatives

Overview

The Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) has introduced several institutional and community-focused initiatives.

In early September 2026, the university announced the commencement of its 2027-2032 Strategic Plan development. This multi-phase process, involving diagnosis and strategy framing, is scheduled to run through April 2027 and includes consultation phases for the university community. Alongside this, the institution renewed its ‘Carnet culture 2026-2027’ program, providing students free access to 46 regional cultural organizations.

Following these announcements, the university launched a seasonal health initiative through its Kinesiology and Sport Therapy Clinic. This program offers staff personalized physical assessments and customized training programs to assist with the seasonal transition to autumn, while simultaneously providing practical training for second-year kinesiology students.
