Urbagestión owners reach agreement with tenant following eviction dispute
Owners of the company Urbagestión, Ricardo and Fernando Alonso, have reached an agreement allowing a former tenant, Maricarmen, to return to her residence in Madrid under a new rental agreement of approximately 500 euros per month.
The owners have defended their company against accusations of being a ‘vulture fund,’ describing Urbagestión as a micro-SME with only seven employees and a single property in management. They claim the company has faced significant pressure and threats, including reports of receiving ‘boxes of cockroaches’ at their headquarters and the publication of photos of their children by the Sindicato de Inquilinas.
The dispute follows a legal process in which the Provincial Court of Madrid and the Supreme Court ruled that the tenant's previous contract had expired in 2007. The owners stated that the decision to allow the tenant's return was made to end the ongoing tension and harassment following the initial eviction.
