Uruapan inaugurates Plaza de la Ranita Artisanal and Cultural Center

Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla has inaugurated the “Plaza de la Ranita” Artisanal and Cultural Center in Uruapan, Michoacán. The project aims to rescue urban infrastructure and provide a public space for both residents and tourists.

The center includes a branch of the Casa de las Artesanías, which will serve as a venue for exhibiting and selling traditional crafts from various regions of the state. A notable feature of the plaza is a 585-square-meter mural by artist Carlos Campos, which is considered the largest pictorial work in Michoacán, depicting the region's history and traditions.

The state investment for the project totaled 19.8 million pesos. The intervention covered a total area of 1,478 square meters and includes an access portal, a central courtyard, an exhibition pavilion, a multipurpose room, garden areas, and sanitary facilities. The site is also integrated with local mobility works, including a cable car tower.
