Uruguay President Orsi falls to 13th in Latin American approval ranking

A July survey by the consultancy CB Global Data ranked the public image of 18 Latin American heads of state. Uruguay’s President Yamandú Orsi slid to 13th place with a 37.4% approval rating, down from 39.4% in June. Argentina’s President Javier Milei fell to 14th with 36.8% approval, also a decline from the previous month. The top three leaders were El Salvador’s Nayib Bukele (around 67‑69% approval), Mexico’s Claudia Sheinbaum (about 65%), and Costa Rica’s Laura Fernández Delgado (roughly 56%). The lowest scores were recorded by Venezuela’s Delcy Rodríguez (22‑18%) and Peru’s José María Balcázar (23‑29%). The ranking was based on online surveys conducted between 3‑8 July in 18 countries, with national samples ranging from 4,800 to 5,200 respondents and a margin of error of ±1.4%.

The results place Uruguay among the six presidents with the weakest public image in the region, while Milei remains in the lower tier despite his government’s high-profile reforms.
