Uruguayan footballers leave Brazilian clubs Remo and Paysandu

Midfielder Diego Hernández, who helped Remo return to Brazil's top division with a memorable free‑kick, was surprised by a fan’s tattoo honoring his number 33 shirt. After his loan spell ended, Hernández thanked the supporters on Instagram and confirmed he is moving on, with talks underway to join Uruguay’s Peñarol.

Defender Yeferson Quintana also departed his Brazilian club, ending a two‑year stint with Paysandu. The 1.92‑metre centre‑back made 62 appearances and won five titles, including the Copa Verde and Campeonato Paraense, before the contract was mutually terminated.
