Uruguayan livestock sector sees growth in exhibitions and auctions

The Uruguayan livestock sector is seeing significant activity through major upcoming exhibitions and auctions. The Rural del Prado exhibition, organized by the Asociación Rural del Uruguay (ARU), is set to open on September 11 with 1,445 registered animals. This represents an increase from the 1,270 animals present last year. Notable participation includes 288 Angus cattle and 582 sheep.

In a separate event, Plaza Rural is conducting its 237th auction, offering a substantial supply of 8,548 cattle and 1,150 sheep. The auction is supported by financing from the Banco de la República. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Plaza Rural is also running a promotion involving the giveaway of two electric vehicles to participating buyers and sellers.
