Mike Huckabee accuses UK government of antisemitism

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has accused the British government of antisemitism following comments made by UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Huckabee, posting on X, stated that the British government's hatred of Jews 'knows no bounds or facts.'

Miliband, who is the son of Jewish refugees, released a video describing the situation in Gaza as 'terrible,' citing reports of blocked medicines and children dying while awaiting life-saving supplies. He called for the British government to take action.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded by accusing Miliband of ignoring facts and creating a video intended for public opinion. The ministry noted that 22,500 tons of medical supplies have entered Gaza since the October 2025 ceasefire took effect under US pressure.

Separately, UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher had previously noted in June that while aid levels have increased, the quantities entering Palestinian territories remain insufficient.
