US Ambassador warns CJNG leader Juan Carlos Valencia González

U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Ronald Johnson has issued a direct warning to Juan Carlos Valencia González, alias “Pelón,” identified as a new leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). The warning follows an announcement by the United States government to increase the reward for information leading to Valencia González's capture to $25 million.

In a statement shared via X, Ambassador Johnson emphasized that
