US Army awards BAE Systems $818 million AMPV contract

The US Army has awarded BAE Systems Land & Armaments a contract valued at approximately $818 million for the delivery of additional Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicles (AMPV). This agreement brings the total value of orders for these tracked multi-purpose armored vehicles to just under $3.3 billion.

The AMPV, developed by BAE Systems based on the M2 Bradley combat vehicle platform, is intended to replace the aging M113 fleet. Deliveries under this contract are scheduled to be completed by May 31, 2030. Production will take place at the BAE Systems facility in York, Pennsylvania.
