Air ambulance missing off Nantucket during Bermuda to Boston flight FAST-MOVING

A Canadian-registered Gulfstream G100 air ambulance, operated by Latitude Air Ambulance, has gone missing while flying from Bermuda to Boston. The aircraft was performing a medical evacuation and was carrying six people, including two pilots, two medical staff, a patient, and a family member.

Flight tracking data indicates the aircraft experienced a rapid descent, dropping from 23,500 feet to 11,000 feet in approximately three minutes shortly before the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lost contact. The U.S. Coast Guard has launched an extensive search and rescue operation involving air and surface crews, including helicopters and cutters, concentrated in the Atlantic waters off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts. Debris from the aircraft has reportedly been spotted roughly 150 kilometers southeast of Boston.

Authorities from Bermuda and Canada are monitoring the situation. Canadian Transport Minister Steven MacKinnon confirmed that four Canadians were on board. The search continues as officials work to determine the cause of the disappearance and locate the occupants.
