US conducts missile strikes on five Iranian provinces

The United States carried out air strikes on five Iranian provinces—Hormozgan, Markazi, Ahvaz, Bushahr, Khuzestan and Baluchistan—targeting missile installations, air‑defence systems and IRGC speedboats near the Strait of Hormuz. The attacks killed one maintenance worker and injured five others, according to Iranian state media. CENTCOM said the strikes were intended to reduce threats to commercial shipping in the busy waterway.

President Donald Trump later posted on Truth Social that the United States has “a thousand missiles ready” to strike Iran if Tehran attempts to assassinate him, asserting that the military has already received the necessary orders for a massive response. He also dismissed reports that Israel possessed new intelligence on an Iranian plot against him.
