U.S. CPSC recalls Squishy Dumpling and Crazy Squib Ball toys

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a national recall of popular anti-stress toys due to a “deadly ingestion risk.” The recall involves approximately 37,000 units of Squishy Dumpling (model 3655) and Crazy Squib Ball (model 3984) toys, as well as 480 units of Mochi Malrang Mystery Dumpling.

According to the CPSC, these translucent, glitter-filled toys contain water beads that expand beyond permitted limits if swallowed. Ingestion could lead to choking, intestinal obstruction, severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration, and death. While the toys were sold in U.S. stores between April and June, no injuries or deaths have been reported in connection with these specific models so far.

ABC Trading, a toy wholesaler, is managing the recall. Consumers are advised to remove the toys from children's reach and contact the company for a full refund. To facilitate the process, users are instructed to write “recalled” on the toys before submitting a photo to the company's designated email address.
