US Department of Labor issues most wanted list for $55 million fraud

The United States Department of Labor Office of Inspector General has released a list of 16 fugitives accused of crimes totaling more than $55 million. The individuals are sought for various offenses, including work visa fraud, unemployment insurance fraud, labor trafficking, identity theft, money laundering, and healthcare fraud.

The announcement coincides with the launch of the Visa Fraud Strike Team, an interagency initiative involving the Departments of Labor, Justice, Homeland Security, and State. While the strike team specifically targets irregularities in H-1B and J-1 visa programs, the most wanted list includes broader federal program crimes.

One individual, former FBI official and procurement executive Leslie Kaciban, has already been arrested in Hungary following allegations of illegal labor payments and bribery. The remaining 15 suspects remain at large.
