US DOJ and State Dept Announce Multi‑Agency Crackdown on CJNG Drug Cartel

U.S. officials from the Department of Justice and the State Department held a press conference with law‑enforcement partners to unveil a new enforcement operation targeting the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), a major Mexican drug cartel.

Present at the briefing were Acting Attorney General Todd Bru, Assistant Attorney General A. Tyson Duva, FBI Director Kash Patel, DEA Director Travis C. "Tri" Cole, ICE Homeland Security Investigations deputy executive Matthew Milho, and State Department Assistant Secretary for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Michael C. Reese. The agencies highlighted coordinated actions aimed at disrupting CJNG’s trafficking networks and bringing its members to justice.
