US DOJ Convicts Three MS-13 Gang Members of Nine Murders

The U.S. Department of Justice announced federal convictions for three illegal‑alien members of the MS‑13 gang for a series of nine murders, kidnappings and racketeering offenses. A federal jury in Nevada found Salvadoran nationals Jose Luis Reynaldo Reyes‑Castillo (30) and Joel Vargas‑Escobar (30), and Honduran national David Arturo Perez‑Manchame (27), guilty of conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise, murder in aid of racketeering, kidnapping, attempted murder and related gun offenses.

Prosecutors said the defendants operated as part of the Parkview clique of MS‑13 in Las Vegas, committing the killings across Nevada and California over roughly a year. The case was built by the Las Vegas Homeland Security Task Force, involving the DOJ Criminal Division, FBI, HSI and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche pledged continued use of all tools to dismantle violent transnational gangs, while FBI Director Kash Patel highlighted a recent surge in gang‑member arrests.

The convictions mark a significant federal effort to hold gang members accountable and aim to deter future organized‑crime violence, bringing legal closure for nine families who lost loved ones.
