US food recalls target Walmart pistachio butter and GreenWise frozen berries over Salmonella and E. coli

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a voluntary recall of BetterGoods Pistachio Nut Butter sold exclusively at Walmart stores in 19 states after routine testing detected Salmonella in one lot (LB028ACP04). No illnesses have been reported, and consumers are instructed to discard the 6.7‑ounce jars or return them for a refund.

Separately, the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a nationwide recall of GreenWise frozen organic blueberries and mixed berries distributed by Publix in eight southern states. The products are linked to a multistate outbreak of Shiga‑toxin‑producing E. coli O145, resulting in 12 confirmed cases and four hospitalizations. All lot numbers are being withdrawn, and shoppers are urged to throw away or return any affected packages.

Both recalls emphasize the importance of checking pantry and freezer inventories and following refund or disposal instructions to prevent further exposure.
