U.S. Health Department Highlights Men’s Health and Fatherhood in June
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services marked Men’s Health Month in June with remarks from Assistant Secretary for Health Adm. Brian Christine. He said the Trump administration is prioritizing men’s health and revitalizing fatherhood, noting a historic decline in men’s suicide rates, obesity, hypertension and depression, alongside rises in fertility and testosterone levels. Christine highlighted that 80 % of U.S. suicides are committed by men, with roughly 100 men dying by suicide each day, and cited the 2023 figure of 39,045 male suicides recorded under the Biden administration.
He added that the current administration is loosening restrictions on testosterone‑replacement therapy, promoting stronger manhood, healthier diets, drug removal from streets, and support for the nuclear family. Christine urged men to seek mental‑health care and emphasized the positive impact of engaged fathers, wishing all fathers a happy Father’s Day.
