US Intelligence Assessment Finds Bombing Iran Ineffective

A US intelligence assessment, reported by the Washington Post and briefed to the White House, concluded that the series of airstrikes on Iran has not weakened Tehran's negotiating position or altered its core demands, which include control of the Strait of Hormuz. The CIA‑led report says Iran can absorb the pressure for months and remains resilient.

The analysis notes that more than ten consecutive nights of bombing have caused over 50 civilian deaths in Iran and resulted in at least four U.S. service members killed in related incidents in Jordan and Iraq. Efforts by Pakistan and other mediators to revive negotiations have yet to produce any progress.
