President Donald Trump is set to present the nation’s highest honors for scientific and technological achievement at the White House during the ‘Science: A New Golden Age Summit’ on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

Recipients of the National Medal of Science include Elon Musk (Tesla and SpaceX), Sergey Brin (Google co-founder), Jensen Huang (Nvidia CEO), and Lisa Su (AMD CEO). Additionally, Michael Dell (Dell Technologies) and Satya Nadella (Microsoft CEO) will be awarded the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

The ceremony marks a significant reconciliation between Trump and Musk following a public dispute in early summer 2025 regarding fiscal policies and Musk’s departure from the Department of Government Efficiency. White House spokesperson Liz Huston stated that the administration is grateful for the contributions of these leaders, noting their role in ensuring American leadership in innovation.
