US-Mexican couple discovered dead in La Marquesa, State of Mexico

The bodies of Guillermo Jaffet (57) and Zafar Padamsee (56), both holding dual Mexican‑American citizenship, were recovered on 17 June in a hidden grave inside the forested La Marquesa area of Ocoyoacac, State of Mexico. The couple had been reported missing on 20 May after answering a meeting request from individuals posing as workers; their last known message was sent from Mexico City’s Tlalpan district.

Mexican prosecutors and security forces located the remains during routine search operations and identified the victims through forensic analysis. Authorities have detained at least three suspects believed to have buried the couple. The U.S. embassy in Mexico has not issued an official comment on the discovery.
