US Quantum Funding Boost and Indian Startup $1.12B Week Highlight Ecosystem Growth

The U.S. Department of Commerce announced $2.013 billion in incentives for nine domestic quantum‑computing companies, including $375 million for GlobalFoundries and $1 billion for IBM to build secure quantum foundries. Officials framed the investment as critical to national security and future industrial competitiveness.

In India, a coordinated push saw startups receive state recognition in Bihar and a memorandum of understanding with Razorpay Rize to provide mentorship and digital services. The momentum accelerated when Indian startups secured $1.12 billion in a single week, a 164 % rise from the previous week. Fintech dominated the inflow, accounting for $902 million, with CRED alone raising $900 million. Other notable raises included flexible‑workspace operator Incuspaze’s $17.5 million round and AI‑coding platform Rocket’s pursuit of a Series A backed by investors such as Susquehanna International Group.
