US says Israel never asked to view Iran cease‑fire MOU, dismisses ‘Israel passing’ claim

US senior officials told the Times of Israel that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu never requested a copy of the Iran cease‑fire memorandum of understanding (MOU) and that Israel has been in continuous communication with Washington throughout the negotiation process.

The officials said that while the full text may not have been delivered to Netanyahu within the past day or two, the prime minister has been aware of the agreement’s contents all along. They added that Netanyahu was skeptical about the MOU’s implementation but would regard it as a “significant achievement” if it were carried out.

President Donald Trump, speaking after the G7 summit in Évian‑Les‑Bains, said he had handed a copy of the MOU to Israel, though he did not specify when. The Israeli prime‑minister’s office declined to comment on the media reports.

These statements refute earlier reports that Israel requested the document and that Netanyahu tried to “pass” the agreement, a claim US officials said is unfounded.
