US tariffs on Serbia lifted after high‑level talks

The United States has removed the 35 percent import duties that were previously imposed on Serbian goods. Serbian officials said the decision follows intensive discussions between Belgrade and the U.S. administration over trade issues. President Aleksandar Vučić is scheduled to address the nation to explain the development. The tariff change comes as Washington recently introduced new 10 percent and 12.5 percent tariffs on about 60 trading partners, including the European Union and China.

The removal of the Serbian duties is expected to improve bilateral trade flows and ease price pressures on Serbian exporters.
